Settings
How to configure your snapshot schedule, notification preferences, severity rule overrides, and org connection from the Settings page.
The Settings page lets you control how AuditForce monitors your org and when you receive emails. Go to Settings in the top navigation bar.
Snapshot schedule
Controls when AuditForce automatically checks your org for changes.
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Frequency | Daily, Weekly |
| Time | Any hour (12 AM to 11 PM) |
| Timezone | Your local timezone |
| Day (weekly only) | Monday through Sunday |
Changes take effect at the next scheduled run. Running a snapshot manually from the dashboard is not affected by your schedule.
Notifications
Controls which emails AuditForce sends you.
| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Daily digest | On | Summary email after each snapshot that finds changes |
| Real-time Critical alerts | On | Immediate email for Critical changes (Core plan only) |
Free plan users: real-time Critical alerts are a Core plan feature. Critical changes appear in your daily digest instead.
Severity rules (Core plan)
Shows the full list of rules AuditForce uses to classify changes. Each rule has a section, an action, and an assigned severity.
You can override any rule for your org. An override changes the severity for that rule type in your org only. Other AuditForce users are not affected.
To set an override:
- Find the rule you want to adjust in the Severity Rules table.
- Click the severity badge next to the rule.
- Select the severity you want: Critical, High, Medium, or Low.
- Save. All future changes that match this rule will use your override.
To remove an override: Click the severity badge and select "Use default". The rule goes back to AuditForce's standard severity.
Connected org
Shows the Salesforce org you've connected, including its name, instance URL, and when AuditForce last refreshed its connection.
Disconnecting your org
Click Disconnect org to remove AuditForce's access to your Salesforce org.
What happens when you disconnect:
- AuditForce stops running snapshots immediately.
- Your existing change history stays in AuditForce until your retention window expires.
- You can reconnect at any time by going through the connect flow again.
Disconnecting does not delete your AuditForce account.
Frequently asked questions
I changed my snapshot time but AuditForce still ran at the old time. Why? The new time takes effect at the next scheduled run after you save. If you save the setting 10 minutes before the old run time, the current run may still go out at the old time. Your next run will use the updated schedule.
Can I pause monitoring without disconnecting? Not directly. The closest option is to switch to Weekly frequency, which reduces checks to once per week. Full pause without disconnect is on the roadmap.
I'm on the Free plan and don't see Severity Rules in Settings. Why? Custom severity overrides are a Core plan feature. Free plan users see AuditForce's default severity classifications for all changes.
Where do I change my email address or password? Account settings (email, password) are managed through your login. Look for account options at the top right of any page.
